10 CSR 1-1.010 - General Organization
PURPOSE: This rule describes the organization of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, as well as the general courses, methods, and procedures whereby the public may obtain information or make submissions or requests.
(1)
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (department) is managed by a
director appointed by the governor, by and with the advice and consent of the
senate.
(2) The department
administers programs relating to environmental control and management of
natural and cultural resources, as provided by the constitution, statute,
regulation, and policy. The department accomplishes its mission through the
Division of Administrative Support, Division of Environmental Quality, Missouri
Geological Survey, and Division of State Parks.
(3) The following boards and commissions
support and facilitate the department's roles and responsibilities:

(4) Any member of
the public may make submissions or requests to obtain information at the
department's central office, located at 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City,
MO 65101 or by telephone at 800-361-4827 or 573-751-3443. The department also
maintains a web-page with information at: https://dnr.mo.gov. Requests for records under
the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, RSMo, can be made through the
department's webpage.
