10 CSR 23-4.050 - General Protection of Groundwater Quality and Resources
PURPOSE: This amendment improves readability by removing unnecessary language.
(1) Monitoring wells shall not be converted
to any other type of well unless advanced written approval is obtained from the
department.
(2) Monitoring wells
shall be constructed so that aquifer mixing does not occur and may not be
screened through the soil-bedrock horizon unless advanced written approval is
obtained from the department. Drilling water shall be of potable
quality.
