Nev. Admin. Code § 240A.Sec. 8 - NEW

After an investigation conducted pursuant to NRS 240A.260, if the Secretary of State determines that a violation of this chapter or chapter 240A of NRS has occurred and wants to begin proceedings pursuant to NRS 240A.270 to suspend or revoke a person's registration as a document preparation service or impose a civil penalty pursuant to NRS 240A.260, as amended by section 3.6 of Assembly Bill No. 245, chapter 200, Statutes of Nevada 2021, at page 937, the Secretary of State will:

1. Appoint a hearing officer who must be a person who did not participate in the investigation or decision of the Secretary of State; and
2. File a complaint with the hearing officer.
