Relationship by affinity: Any person whose relationship to the spouse or domestic partner of the public officer or employee is listed in the columns for the first, second, or third degree of consanguinity is within the third degree of affinity to the public officer or employee, and if that person has a spouse or domestic partner, that spouse or domestic partner will be deemed to be within the same degree of affinity for the purposes of NRS 281A.065. Spouses of public officers or employees are related in the first degree of affinity by marriage, and domestic partners of public officers or employees are related in the first degree of affinity by domestic partnership. For adoption and other relationships by marriage or domestic partnership, the degree of relationship is the same as the degree of underlying relationship by blood. |
