Nev. Admin. Code § 385B.204 - Provisional membership; academic requirements of pupil enrolled at school with such membership

1. The Board and the Legislative Commission may, by a majority vote, grant a provisional membership in the Association to a school that receives financial support from this State or any county in this State and only accepts pupils who are wards of a court. A school that is a provisional member of the Association:
(a) Shall comply with the regulations of the Association; and
(b) Upon approval by the Board, may participate in any league, regional or state tournament.
2. A pupil enrolled in a school that is a provisional member of the Association may, for 30 days after the school is granted provisional membership, participate in a sanctioned sport without complying with the provisions of NAC 385B.700 to 385B.798, inclusive, concerning academic eligibility. Upon the expiration of that period, the pupil must comply with those sections before participating in a sanctioned sport.
