Nev. Admin. Code § 385B.414 - Use of coaching boxes and head protection
1. A
coach of a team that participates in a baseball game as a sanctioned sport may
coach from the first or third base coaching box during that game if the team
for which he or she is a coach is at bat.
2. A coach may allow a pupil to coach from
the first or third base coaching box during the game if:
(a) The pupil is in uniform and wears a
protective batting helmet during any period in which he or she is in the first
or third base coaching box;
(b) The
pupil is a registered member of the team; and
(c) The team of which the pupil is a
registered member is at bat.
3. Each pupil who participates in a baseball
game as a sanctioned sport shall wear appropriate equipment to protect his or
her head from injury during any period in which the pupil enters the batter's
box located on the field of play for the game until the completion of the play
for which he or she is a batter or runner.
