Nev. Admin. Code § 385B.708 - Maximum allowable participation by pupil
1.
Except as otherwise provided in subsection 3, after a pupil enrolls in the
ninth grade, the pupil is eligible to participate in a sanctioned sport for not
more than eight consecutive semesters.
2. A pupil is not eligible to participate:
(a) For more than four seasons in any
sanctioned sport; or
(b) In the
same sanctioned sport more than once during a school year.
3. A pupil who, because of substandard
academic performance, enrolls in the ninth grade during the second academic
semester of a school year shall be deemed to have been eligible to participate
in a sanctioned sport as of the first academic semester of that school year.
Such a pupil shall be deemed to be a member of the class which enrolled in the
ninth grade during the first academic semester of the school year and the pupil
is ineligible to participate in a sanctioned sport after the school year during
which the class is scheduled to graduate.
