Nev. Admin. Code § 446.566 - Walls and ceilings: Covering materials
1. Wall and
ceiling covering materials must be attached so they are easily
cleanable.
2. Except in dry storage
areas, concrete, porous blocks or bricks used for indoor wall construction must
be finished and sealed to provide a smooth, nonabsorbent and easily cleanable
surface.
3. In all new food
establishments, extensively remodeled food establishments or when required by
the health authority due to an operator's inability to properly maintain smooth
and easily cleanable surfaces, the splash zones on all walls must be
constructed of a water-resistant material such as fibre-reinforced plastic
(FRP).
4. As used in this section,
"dry storage area" means a room or area designated for the storage of packaged
or containerized bulk food that is not potentially hazardous and dry goods,
including, without limitation, single-service items.
