Nev. Admin. Code § 459.179 - Prohibition on use of machine for screening or diagnostic mammography; exception
1. Except as
otherwise provided in subsection 2, an invasive intervention radiation machine
may not be used to perform screening or diagnostic mammography
services.
2. A registrant for the
invasive intervention radiation machine may use such a machine to perform
screening or diagnostic mammography services if:
(a) The registrant revokes his or her
registration certificate issued pursuant to NAC
459.156 for the invasive
intervention radiation machine;
(b)
The registrant applies for and receives a valid certificate of authorization
issued pursuant to
NRS
457.184 for the invasive intervention
radiation machine; and
(c) The
invasive intervention radiation machine satisfies the requirements for a
radiation machine for mammography set forth in chapters 457 of NRS and
NAC.
