Nev. Admin. Code § 644A.636 - Curriculum for nail technologists; credit for attending field trips
1. The following subjects constitute the
curriculum for nail technologists:
(a) Field
trips and modeling, with a maximum of 5 percent of the total hours of training
optional for all students.
(b)
Infection control and prevention, with a minimum of 3 percent of the total
hours of training mandatory for all students.
(c) Management of a cosmetological
establishment.
(d) Nail
services.
(e) Nail theory, with a
minimum of 10 percent and a maximum of 13 percent of the total hours of
training mandatory for all students.
(f) The provisions of this chapter and
chapter 644A of NRS, with a minimum of 2 percent of the total hours of training
mandatory for all students.
2. A student may, after completing 10 percent
of the total hours of training, earn credit for up to 5 percent of the total
hours of training by attending field trips that are approved by the school. A
field trip must be conducted under the direct supervision of a licensed
instructor. The instructor shall accompany the student and be available to
provide assistance or instruction to the student at all times during the field
trip. The student must submit a time record, authenticated by the instructor,
for each field trip.
