N.H. Admin. Code § Tra 902.04 - Negotiable Instruments
(a) No negotiable instrument shall be
accepted which bears a date subsequent to the date of the
transaction.
(b) No 2 party check
shall be accepted unless:
(1) One of the
parties is the state of New Hampshire;
(2) The applicant is the other party;
and
(3) The applicant has
restrictively endorsed the instrument to be payable to the order of the state
of New Hampshire.
(c) In
the event an unacceptable negotiable instrument is received, the bureau will
contact the applicant to advise of the error (e.g. check not signed). If the
applicant does not correct the error within 30 days, the application shall be
denied.
