N.J. Admin. Code § 10:161B-5.1 - Appointment of administrator
(a) The governing authority shall appoint an
administrator who shall be accountable to the governing authority.
(b) The administrator shall be available in the facility at all times
during normal business hours or available by telephone to a designated person in the facility.
(c) Except on a short-term emergency basis not exceeding two weeks, in the
event that an alternate or designee is used in the administrator's absence, this individual shall possess the
appropriate credentials and qualifications to perform the administrator's role. There shall be written
documentation identifying the individual who will act in the absence of the administrator, and this
information shall be provided to the facility's staff and approved by the governing authority.
