N.J. Admin. Code § 7:14A-2.6 - Conflict of interest
(a) Any board or
body which approves all or portion of a permit shall not include as a member
any person who receives, or has during the previous two years received, a
significant portion of direct or indirect income from permit holders or
applicants for a permit.
(b) For
the purposes of this section, "direct or indirect income from permit holders or
applicants for a permit" is not received when it is derived from mutual fund
payments, or from other diversified investments for which the recipient does
not know the primary sources of income.
(c) For the purposes of this section, "permit
holders or applicants for a permit" does not include any department or agency
of the State government, such as the Division of Fish, Game, and Wildlife
within the Natural and Historic Resources Program of the New Jersey Department
of Environmental Protection, or the New Jersey Department of
Transportation.
