N.J. Admin. Code § 7:5D-3.1 - Land acquisition for trails
(a) The Department,
with the advice of the Council, may acquire interest in land for trails
purposes in fee simple, or by conservation restriction or scenic easement,
through purchase, donation or exchange.
(b) The Department shall review for trails
acquisition potential all formal declarations of railroad right-of-way
abandonments by the Interstate Commerce Commission or other Federal agencies.
