N.J. Admin. Code § 7:9A-11.1 - Site/soil requirements
(a) Seepage pits
shall not be approved except as specified in
7:9A-7.6. When a seepage pit is
approved, the following site/soil requirements shall be met:
1. The bottom of any seepage pit shall be a
minimum of eight feet above any hydraulically restrictive horizon or substratum
not fully penetrated or any massive rock substratum.
2. The bottom of any seepage pit shall be a
minimum of four feet above any fractured rock substratum.
3. The bottom of any seepage pit shall be a
minimum of four feet above the level of the seasonally high water
table.
