N.J. Admin. Code § 7:9A-7.2 - Construction
(a) The system and all its component parts shall be constructed and installed to conform in all details to the requirements set forth in this chapter and to the engineering design which has been approved by the administrative authority. Departures from the approved design which become necessary due to circumstances which arise during construction and installation shall be approved by the design engineer and the administrative authority in accordance with 7:9A-3.7 and shall meet or exceed the requirements of this chapter.
(b) Construction and installation shall be performed in such a manner that the capacity of the soil or fill material to adequately absorb or purify the septic tank effluent is not adversely affected.
