CHAPTER HISTORICAL NOTE:
Chapter 53, Vocational Education Safety and Health Standards, was adopted as R.1977 d.279, effective 8/3/1977. See: 8 New Jersey Register 457(b), 9 New Jersey Register 417(b).
Pursuant to Executive Order No. 66(1978), Chapter 53, Vocational Education Safety and Health Standards, was readopted as R.1982 d.368, effective 10/18/1982. See: 14 New Jersey Register 619(a), 14 New Jersey Register 1154(b).
Pursuant to Executive Order No. 66(1978), Chapter 53, Vocational Education Safety and Health Standards, was readopted as R.1987 d.313, effective 7/7/1987. As part of R.1987 d.313, Subchapter 4, Equipment Layout and Work Area, Subchapter 5, Woodworking Machinery, Subchapter 6, Welding, Cutting and Brazing Operations, and Subchapter 7, Hand and Portable Power Tools and Other Hand-Held Equipment, were repealed; Subchapter 8, Hazardous Liquids and Materials, was recodified as N.J.A.C. 6:53-4, Hazardous Substances; Subchapter 9, Personal Protection, was recodified as N.J.A.C. 6:53-5, effective 8/3/1987. Chapter 53, Vocational Education Safety and Health Standards, was readopted, effective 11/20/2001, and recodified as N.J.A.C. 6A:19 by R.2001 d.473, effective 12/17/2001. As part of R.2001 d.473, substantive amendments were made in conjunction with the following recodifications: N.J.A.C. 6:53-1.2was recodified as N.J.A.C. 6A:19-1.3; N.J.A.C. 6:53-1.1 and 1.3 were repealed; Subchapter 2, Standards Implementation, was recodified as N.J.A.C. 6A:19-10, Safety and Health Standards; N.J.A.C. 6:53-2.1 through 2.3 were recodified as N.J.A.C. 6A:19-10.1 through 10.3; N.J.A.C. 6:53-3.1 through 3.3 were recodified as N.J.A.C. 6A:19-10.4; N.J.A.C. 6:53-4.1 and 4.2 were recodified as N.J.A.C. 6A:19-10.5 and 10.6; N.J.A.C. 6:53-5.1 through 5.3 were recodified as N.J.A.C. 6A:19-10.7 through 10.9.
