Ohio Admin. Code 1501:31-15-16 - [Effective 6/30/2025] Rabbit seasons, hours, and bag limit

The open season for rabbits is from November 1 7, 2024 2025 through February 28, 2025 2026. The youth hunting season for rabbits is open from October 19 25, 2024 2025 through October 20 26, 2024 2025, and from October 26 November 1, 2024 2025 through October 27 November 2, 2024 2025.

(A) It shall be unlawful to:

(1) Hunt or take a rabbit at any time, except between sunrise to sunset daily during the open seasons for rabbits;

(2) Take more than four rabbits, singly or in the aggregate, in any one day or possess more than four rabbits taken in one day;

(3) Possess more than four rabbits, singly or in the aggregate, in the field while hunting or when returning from hunting; .

(4) Hunt or take a snowshoe hare at any time.

(B) All definitions set forth in rule 1501:31-1-02 of the Administrative Code apply to this rule.
