Ohio Admin. Code 3745-103-41 - Establishment of opt-in source allowance accounts

(A) Establishing accounts. Not earlier than the date on which a combustion or process source becomes an affected unit under this chapter and upon receipt of a request for a compliance account under paragraph (B) of this rule, the USEPA will establish a compliance account (unless the source that includes the opt-in source already has a compliance account) and allocate allowances in accordance with rules 3745-103-33 to 3745-103-39 of the Administrative Code for combustion sources or rule 3745-103-40 of the Administrative Code for process sources.
(B) Request for opt-in account. The On or after the effective date of the opt-in permit as specified in paragraph (D) of rule 3745-103-28 of the Administrative Code, the designated representative of the opt-in source shall, on or after the effective date of the opt-in permit as specified in paragraph (D) of rule 3745-103-28 of the Administrative Code, submit a letter to the USEPA requesting the opening of a compliance account (unless the source that includes the opt-in source already has a compliance account) in the allowance tracking system to the USEPA.
