Ohio Admin. Code 3745-52-209 - Where and when to make the hazardous waste determination and where to send containers of unwanted material upon removal from the laboratory
(A) Large quantity
generators and small quantity generators. An eligible academic entity shall
ensure that a trained professional makes a hazardous waste determination,
pursuant to rule
3745-52-11
of the Administrative Code, for unwanted material in any of the following
areas:
(1) In the laboratory before the
unwanted material is removed from the laboratory, in accordance with rule
3745-52-210
of the Administrative Code.
(2)
Within four calendar days after the unwanted material arrives at an on-site
central accumulation area, in accordance with rule
3745-52-211
of the Administrative Code.
(3)
Within four calendar days after the unwanted material arrives at an on-site
interim or permitted treatment, storage, or disposal facility, in accordance
with rule
3745-52-212
of the Administrative Code.
(B)
Conditionally
exempt
Very small quantity generators. An
eligible academic entity shall ensure that a trained professional makes a
hazardous waste determination, pursuant to paragraphs
(A) to (D) of rule
3745-52-11
of the Administrative Code, for unwanted material in the laboratory before the
unwanted material is removed from the laboratory, in accordance with rule
3745-52-210
of the Administrative Code.
