Ohio Admin. Code 4101:4-7-01 - Contractor registration and boiler permits
Unless exempt by paragraph (B) of rule 4101:4-2-01 of the Administrative Code,
(A) Every
contractor or owner shall

compliance before installing or making major repairs or alterations to any
boiler. Applications for registration will be obtained from the division of
industrial compliance on forms prescribed by the superintendent.
(B) All contractors or owners performing
boiler installations, repairs, or alterations shall

annually with the superintendent. The annual registration processing fee

(C) Every contractor
or owner shall

to apply for and obtain a permit from the division of industrial
compliance prior to making the installation of any boiler. The application

(D) Unless the contractor or
owner obtains a "National Board "R" Certificate of Authorization" as prescribed
in "Part 3" of the "NBIC" referenced in rule
4101:4-3-01 of the
Administrative Code, every contractor or owner shall

and obtain a permit from the division of industrial compliance prior to making
a routine repair that involves welding or a major repair to an existing boiler.

(E) Every contractor or owner performing
boiler alterations shall
is to obtain a "National Board "R" Certificate of
Authorization" as prescribed in "Part 3" of the "NBIC" referenced in rule
4101:4-3-01 of the
Administrative Code. The contractor or owner is not required to apply for or
obtain a permit from the division of industrial compliance. However, in
accordance with "Part 3" of the "NBIC" and rule
4101:4-9-01 of the
Administrative Code, authorization from an authorized inspector
