Ohio Admin. Code 4501:1-7-09 - Multi-year and permanent registration
(A)
Beginning with
the 2004 registration year, any
Any
person who owns a motor vehicle, other than a motor vehicle excluded under
paragraph (B) of this rule, may apply to the registrar of motor vehicles or a
deputy registrar for registration of that vehicle for
the next two
not
more than five succeeding registration years.
(B) Vehicles requiring an apportioned license
plate under the international registration plan, commercial cars used in
intrastate commerce, vehicles registered under Chapter 4519. of the Revised
Code, vehicles which would require an inspection in
the next succeeding registration year, and any vehicles specifically
excluded by the registrar are not eligible for biennial
multi-year or
permanent registration under this rule.
(C)
In addition, any
person who owns or leases a trailer or semitrailer that is subject to the tax
rates prescribed in section
4503.042 of the Revised Code for
such trailers or semitrailers, may apply for registration for any number of
succeeding registration years, including a permanent registration. The period
of registration for a trailer or semitrailer registered under this paragraph is
exclusive to the trailer or semitrailer for which that certificate of
registration is issued and is not transferable to any other trailer or
semitrailer.
