Ohio Admin. Code 4757-9-01 - Continuing education requirements for renewal of a marriage and family therapist or independent marriage and family therapist license

(A) Marriage and family therapists and independent marriage and family therapists require thirty hours of approved continuing professional education for licensure renewal in any combination of the following program areas listed in section 4757.30 of the Revised Code: research, professional ethics, marriage and family studies, marriage and family therapy, human development, appraisal of individuals and families, systems theory, and supervision.
(B) Three of the thirty hours shall be taken in the area of ethics continuing education.
(C) For those independent marriage and family therapists with supervising marriage and family therapist status supervision endorsement ("S"), , three hours shall be in supervision, taken every two years. Only the american association for marriage and family therapy supervision refresher course or an equivalent course, as defined in paragraph (F)(3) of rule 4757-29-01 of the Administrative Code, may be used to meet this requirement.
