Or. Admin. R. 851-053-0035 - Criteria for Board Recognition of National Certification Exams and Certifications

(1) The Board or their approved staff delegate(s) must determine whether a national certification examination may be used to fulfill the requirement for licensure based on the following requirements:
(a) The certifying program is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies or the American Board of Nursing Specialties;
(b) The certifying program provides primary source verification of individual practitioner certification through electronic means or other methods approved by the Board.
(2) The Board will maintain a list of accepted certifying programs that will be visible on the OSBN website. A program that is not on the list is not recognized as issuing a qualified certification.
