(1)
When a patient waives the right to be represented by an attorney, the Board may
approve an individual's appearance, pro se, after a record is established that
the person is competent to represent himself/herself pro se.
(2) If the Board chair determines the person
is not competent, the Board chair or his/her designee shall appoint an attorney
to represent the person.
