S.C. Code Regs. 19-1285 - Limitations

A. The master agreement shall provide that a tuition prepayment contract which has not been terminated or the benefits exhausted by the time the designated beneficiary reaches his thirtieth (30 th) birthday is canceled; however, up to forty-eight (48) continuous months expended by a designated beneficiary as an active duty member of any branch of the armed services of the State of South Carolina or the United States may be added to the time specified pursuant to the terms of the tuition prepayment contract.
B. Nothing in this chapter must be construed as a promise or guarantee that a designated beneficiary may be admitted to a college or university or other independent institution of higher learning, allowed to continue enrollment a public college or university or other independent institution of higher learning after admission, or graduated from a public college or university or other independent institution of higher learning.
