S.C. Code Regs. 20-27.26 - Substitution of Referee or Judge
(1) In
the event a referee or judge becomes unable to continue his/her duties during a
mixed martial arts contest, time out shall be called and another official shall
be immediately assigned by the Commission Representative or chief of
officials.
(2) It shall be
mandatory for such substituted judge to continue scoring on the scorecard used
by the incapacitated judge and such scorecard shall be the official scorecard
in the determination of a decision at the conclusion of the mixed martial arts
contest.
(3) The substituted judge
must resume the round from the time of his/her substitution, for the
incapacitated judge.
