S.C. Code Regs. § 89-130 - Operating Permit Survey Control Points
A. The operator shall be required to clearly
mark the boundary of the permitted area prior to initiating mining. Boundary
markers shall be maintained throughout the life of the mine. The operator shall
also install and maintain two (2) permanent survey monuments or control points
within the permitted area at least 100 feet apart.
B. As determined to be necessary, the
Department may require the operator to place control markers at the boundary of
the area to be affected under the operating permit.
