Utah Admin. Code R357-39-106 - Method for Selecting Awardees
(1) The
office will, according to its discretion and judgment, review the business's
proposal by considering:
(a) statewide or
regional importance of the industry to Utah's economy;
(b) relative size of the sector, its
stability, and growth potential;
(c) characteristics of Utah's workforce
including education and training;
(d) the current availability of other sources
of funding;
(e) the potential for
the industry to develop new jobs and business opportunities in Utah;
(f) likelihood that skilled labor in this
sector will result in the creation of a business in Utah or growth of existing
Utah business;
(g) number of
positions to be trained and filled;
(h) impact on the local economy;
(i) projected time to fill job needs;
and
(j) any other factor the office
deems relevant.
