80-004 Code Vt. R. 80-210-004-X - SUPERFECTA-CARRY OVER

NEW RULE to be designated as PROPOSED RULE 172.3 1 SUPERPECTA-CARRY OVER:

(a) Superfecta wagering with a carry over provision shall be permitted with the approval of the Commission.

(b) All of the provisions of Rule 172.3 shall apply and shall regulate the conduct of superfecta wagering with a carry over except where any such provision is unnecessary because of, or, in conflict with, the provisions of this rule. In all such instances the provisions of this rule shall apply.

(c) In any superfecta with a carry over designated race where there is a failure to select, in order, the first four finishers, in order, then and in such event, the entire superfecta pool remaining, subject to any provisions pertaining to refunds and consolation awards, and after deduction of all legal sums therefrom, shall be carried over and included in the superfecta with a carry over pool for the next racing performance. Such pool shall be known as the superfecta carry over jackpot pool, and, may be referred to hereafter herein, and, for all other purposes and elsewhere, as the Jackpot Pool. The Jackpot Pool shall be supplemented each racing day by the amount added thereto from all previous days' superfecta with a carry over pools that have not been won by a holder of a superfecta ticket which correctly designates all four official four (4) finishers in a single race, selecting the first four (4) finishers in the exact order of finish as officially posted.

(d) In the event the accumulated Jackpot Pool shall not be eligible for distribution on the final racing performance of any racing meet, under this rule, then the provisions of Rule 172.3 governing Superfectas shall apply, and the accumulated Jackpot Pool shall be distributed in accordance with subsection (j) of said Rule 172.3.
