Wash. Admin. Code § 357-19-017 - What is the purpose of the probationary and trial service period?
The probationary and trial service periods provide the employer with an opportunity to observe and assess an employee's work and to train and aid the employee in adjusting to the position in order to determine if the employee will be granted permanent status in that position.
