Wash. Admin. Code § 392-172A-03050 - Additional members of the evaluation group
The determination of whether the student is eligible for special education services in the specific learning disability category shall be made by the student's parent and a group of qualified professionals which must include:
(1) The student's
general education classroom teacher; or
(2) If the student does not have a general
education classroom teacher, a general education classroom teacher qualified to
teach a student of his or her age; or
(3) For a student of less than school age, an
individual qualified to teach a student of his or her age; and
(4) At least one individual qualified to
conduct individual diagnostic examinations of students, such as school
psychologist, speech language pathologist, or remedial reading
teacher.
