020-15 Wyo. Code R. § 1 - Authority and Purpose
(a) This chapter is
promulgated pursuant to the Environmental Quality Act. Specifically,
W.S.
35-11-302(a) (iii) requires
the administrator to establish standards for the issuance of permits for
disposal systems or other facilities capable of causing or contributing to
pollution.
(b) This chapter
contains the minimum standards for the use or surface disposal of
biosolids.
(c) This chapter
establishes standards, which consist of general requirements, pollutant limits,
management practices, and operational standards, for the final use or surface
disposal of biosolids generated during the treatment of domestic sewage in a
treatment works. Standards are included in this part for biosolids applied to
the land or placed on a surface disposal site. Also included in this chapter
are pathogen and alternative vector attraction reduction requirements for
biosolids applied to the land or placed on a surface disposal site.
(d) In addition, the standards in this
chapter include the frequency of monitoring, record keeping and reporting
requirements when biosolids are applied to the land or placed on a surface
disposal site.
