023-2 Wyo. Code R. §§ 2-16 - Continuances, Extensions of Time and Duty to Confer
(a) A motion for a
continuance of any scheduled hearing shall be in writing, state the reasons for
the motion, and be filed and served on all parties and the hearing officer. A
request for a continuance filed less than five days before a scheduled hearing
shall be granted only upon a showing of good cause.
(b) A motion for an extension of time for
performing any act prescribed or allowed by these Rules or by order of the
hearing officer shall be filed and served on all parties and the hearing
officer prior to the expiration of the applicable time period. A motion for
extension of time shall be granted only upon a showing of good cause.
(c) A moving party shall make reasonable
efforts to contact all parties, representatives, and attorneys before filing a
motion for continuance or extension of time. A motion for continuance or
extension of time shall include a statement concerning efforts made to confer
with the other party(s) and position(s) on the motion.
(d) Continuances relating to mediation shall
be made no later than 30 days prior to the date of the hearing.
