048-25 Wyo. Code R. §§ 25-13 - Laboratory Services
(a) A center shall provide basic laboratory
testing necessary to meet the emergency needs of patients and to adequately
support the center's clinical capabilities, including:
(i) Chemical examinations of urine by stick
or tablet methods, or both (including urine ketones);
(ii) Blood glucose;
(iii) Stool specimens for occult
blood;
(iv) Pregnancy test;
and
(v) International normalized
ratio.
(b) A staff
member may not perform laboratory services or report laboratory results unless
the staff member is designated as qualified by the appropriate medical staff by
virtue of the staff member's education, experience, and training.
(c) A center shall have an agreement with a
hospital or independent laboratory to provide any additional laboratory
services needed for a patient.
