053-4 Wyo. Code R. §§ 4-2 - Eye and Face Protection
(a) Protective eye
and face equipment shall be required where there is a potential of injury that
can be prevented by the use of such equipment. In such cases, employers shall
require the use of a type of protector suitable for the work to be performed.
No unprotected person shall knowingly be subjected to a hazardous environmental
condition. Suitable eye protectors shall be required by the employer to be used
where machines or operations present the hazard of flying objects, glare,
liquids or injurious chemicals, or a combination of these hazards.
(b) Design, construction, testing and use of
devices for eye and face protection shall be in accordance with the
American National Standard for Occupational and Educational Eye and Face
Protection, ANSI Z87.I-1989, or accepted as suitable by the Wyoming
Occupational Health and Safety Department.
