Ariz. Admin. Code § R3-2-302 - Permit to Feed Garbage to Swine; Requirements
A swine garbage feeding permit holder or applicant for a permit to feed garbage to swine shall comply with the following requirements:
1. An approved cooker is
installed, is in operating condition on the premises, and fenced off from all
swine.
2. A concrete slab, trough,
or other easily cleanable area, and equipment for feeding garbage is
provided.
3. Premises utilized for
swine garbage feeding are reasonably clean, free of litter, adequately drained,
and provide for removal of animal excrement and garbage not consumed.
4. Individually operated swine garbage
feeding premises are separated from other swine premises by a minimum distance
of 200 feet in all directions and constructed to prevent the escape of any
swine.
5. In addition, all swine
garbage feeding permit holders shall follow all federal garbage feeding
regulations as outlined in 9 CFR Part 166 as revised on January 1,
2018.
