Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 19, § 560.4 - Vehicle Marking

Every concern licensed under this chapter shall display the business name, concern license number, and business phone number on each side of each service vehicle. All letters and numerals shall be affixed to the vehicle, be in contrasting colors from the background, clearly visible and at least 1 ½ inches high and ¾ inch wide.

Exception:

(1) Display is not required during the first 90 days after the first time vehicle registration fees have been paid.

(2) Display is not required for companies possessing a Type L (Limited) License as specified in Section 595.5.
