Conn. Agencies Regs. § 25-128-39a - Geothermal bore holes
(a) The inside
diameter of closed-loop geothermal bore holes shall be in accordance with the
geothermal system manufacturer's specifications to allow for the proper
installation of piping and grout. Where a single heat exchange pipe with no
u-bend is in contact with the grout, as in a concentric system where an
internal supply pipe is suspended and completely surrounded by an external heat
exchange pipe, the size of the bore hole shall be in accordance with the
manufacturer's specifications in order to provide for proper grouting via the
tremie method.
(b) Open-loop
geothermal bore holes shall be constructed in a manner that complies with all
water supply well requirements, including the separating distances to sources
of pollution set forth in section
19-13-B51d of
the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.
