Haw. Code R. § 23-10-4 - Fingerprint requirement

Staff members and prospective staff members shall be fingerprinted for the purpose of complying with the criminal history record check. The department may refuse to hire or may terminate any person who fails to comply or cooperate with fingerprinting requirements. A file which identifies the individual conclusively shall be maintained by the department. This file shall be maintained separate from an individual's personnel file and shall be confidential.
