105 IAC 3-3-30 - Standards for issuing notices

Sec. 30.

(a) The department shall inspect the proposed site for a temporary airport and if it finds the site to be of such size and nature, in the opinion of the department, as to be safe for use by the type of aircraft that will be used in the operations and to have clear and unobstructed approaches to the landing area, the department shall issue an approval notice.

(b) The department may issue an approval notice for a temporary airport for any specified amount of time, not to exceed thirty (30) days. Upon a clear showing by the applicant that an emergency exists, the department may grant time extensions to the approval notice.
