Sec. 9.
(a) A permit
to drill a new well for oil and gas purposes expires one (1) year from the date
of issuance unless the drilling of the well has commenced.
(b) A permit authorizing the operation of a
well for oil and gas purposes is effective for the life of the well so long as
the well is operated according to IC 14-37, this article, and the terms of the
permit unless the permit is revoked, expired, or otherwise terminated under
this article.
