405 IAC 2-7-2 - Medical assistance for supplemental security income recipients

Sec. 2.

(a) Supplemental security income recipients who meet the criteria established in 42 CFR 435.210, as revised and effective on October 1, 1991, (not including tertiary Code of Federal Regulations citations resulting therefrom) are eligible for medical assistance.
(b) The income and resources of the following individuals are considered in the eligibility determination:
(1) The supplemental security income recipient.
(2) His or her spouse, if the supplemental security income recipient is a caretaker.
(3) His or her parent, if the supplemental security income recipient is a dependent child.
(c) The income eligibility determination for such person shall be based upon those income standards established for the assistance to families with dependent children program in accordance with 470 IAC 10.1-3-3 [ 470IAC 10.1-3-3 was repealedfiled Aug 26, 1987, 11:00 a.m.: 11 IR 90. See 470IAC 10.1-3-3.1 ].
(d) The budgeting methodology established for the assistance to families with dependent children program in accordance with 470 IAC 10.1-3-4 shall apply to this rule.
