Kan. Admin. Regs. § 1-16-2 - Official station; expense-related matters

(a) Office employee. The official station of an officer or employee assigned to an office shall be the city or town where such office is located. Transportation costs between the employee's domicile and the office and subsistence within the limits of an employee's official station shall not be reimbursable.
(b) Field employees. The official station of each field employee shall be designated by the administrative head of the state agency. Subsistence within the limits of the employee's official station or domicile shall not be allowed. No transportation costs shall be allowed between any such employee's place of residence and the office to which such employee is assigned.
(2) Nonreimbursable travel. When additional expense is incurred by reason of an employee residing in a city or town other than the official station, or additional expense is otherwise caused by an employee's choice of residence, such an expense is not reimbursable except as provided in K.A.R. 1-16-2a.
