Utah Admin. Code R25-5-4 - Rates
(1)
(a)
Each board member within state government shall receive per diem not to exceed
$135 for each official meeting attended that lasts up to four hours and per
diem not to exceed $200 for each official meeting attended that is longer than
four hours.
(b) The per diem rates
are applicable to:
(i) except as provided
under Subsection (1)(b)(ii), an officer or employee of the executive branch;
and
(ii) an officer or employee of
higher education unless higher education pays the per diem.
(2) Travel expenses
shall also be paid to a board member in accordance with Rule R25-7.
(3) A board member may decline to receive per
diem or travel expenses for a board member's services.
(4) Upon approval by Finance, a board member
of an independent corporation board may receive per diem, at rates exceeding
those established in Subsection
R25-5-4(1):
(a) for each official meeting attended as
part of their official duties; and
(b) for reasonable preparation associated
with official meetings of the full board or the board's
subcommittees.
